You are so wrong. Utah is as gay as they come. Salt Lake City was named the "gayest" U.S. city. And after supporting Prop 8, the LDS has since reversed itself and is bending over to the LGBT thugs at every turn.
Russia has guaranteed that no athletes will be arrested if they stage gay nonsense (no matter what a few Russian politicians have said), the US team will never boycott but I could see a bunch of sissys holding some kind of counter games. LOL. The left wanting to boycott Russian Olympics, what’s the world coming to!
I really just want to sit with my kids and watch the Olympics.. I don’t want to have to give them a social lesson in perversion at their age..
Saw a couple of gays on MSNBC last night calling for boycott.
That wouldnt help Obama any. He will give a lecture on TV or two but that is it,.
I bet they are scared that if they go out barhopping afterward and try their funny business then they will get a very cool reception, not having special laws against those who dislike Homosexuality like this open minded country does,...
In the orignal version of this photo there was a gay guy standing to the right of Stalin. He was erased!
Doesn't matter. I'll "boycott" the GAY-limpics.
No.
Paging John McCain...
McCain complained on the Senate floor that Willard was spending too much on graft for the 2002 games...
From the Congressional Record:
Senator McCain on the GAO Report
On Sept. 19, 2000, Sen. McCain, speaking in opposition to the Conference Report on the 2001 Legislative Branch Appropriations bill advised the Senate of details from the GAOs report. As recorded in the Congressional Record, Sen. McCain stated,
The GAO now determines that $1.3 billionand some of those I will read:
$974,000 for the Utah State Olympic Public Safety Command;
$5 million for the Utah Communications Agency Network;
$3 million to Olympic Regional Development Authority, upgrades at Mt. Van Hoevenberg Sports Complex;
$2.5 million, Salt Lake City Olympics bus facilities;
$2.5 million, Salt Lake City Olympics regional park-and-ride lots;
$500,000, Salt Lake City Olympics transit bus loan, and on and on;
$925,000 to allow the Utah State Olympic Public Safety Command to continue to develop and support a public safety program for the 2002 Winter Olympics;
$1 million for the 2002 Winter Olympics security training;
$2.2 million for the Charleston Water Conservancy District, UT, to meet sewer infrastructure needs associated with the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
What the Olympic games supposedly hosted and funded by Salt Lake City, which began in corruption and bribery, has now turned into is an incredible pork-barrel project for Salt Lake City and its environs. Sen. John McCain in the United States Senate, Sept. 19, 2000 - [Page S8731-S8748 - Congressional Record.]
Is it even remotely possible that Putin actually WANTS the games pulled..and he’s purposely trying to create an incident. There’s been much coverage about a real lack of snow..and construction of the many venues is way behind schedule..he may want to avoid an unfavorable comparison to China..
Irrelevant. If they allow the boycott and switch the Winter somewhere else, I don’t see how Summer would be different. Aren’t they both under IOC?
So, the HomoNazis want to pull out the Olympics from Russia to Utah? I guess the HomoNazis are now over the Mormon Church supposedly fighting Homosexual Marraige?
Which Islamic country could host the winter Olympics?
Iran has some good and cheap ski resorts north of Tehran. Good enough for Olympic ski events
Why would Utah WANT to hold the Winter Olympics? The Olympics always are a money pit for whoever hosts them and the debts the locals incur live on long after the Olympics are over.
Winter Olympics usually do not have the debt nightmares of the Summer games...mainly because the Winter venues will be used often after the Winter Games are over. Many Salt Lake venues have become training centers for their respective sports, and host world class events. Something Athens after 2004 Summer games did not see
Also, since the mountains are “already there” for Winter Olympic venues...there are less construction costs. Of course, there are fewer athletes at Winter games
Alpine, Texas of course. :-)
” I find myself in unfamiliar territory being on Russias side on something.”
Yeah, but Putin is humiliating Obama left and right. I got an e mail from a good friend in Austria last night. He told me Obama is considered an incompetent fool by all in europe and most of asia. Putin is far more popular : )
Sure wouldn't seem that way when the mainstream media reports on Europeans view of Obama. We're told that he's wildly popular EVERYWHERE in the world but America, and especially in Europe (would have beat McCain or Romney like 95% to 5% if Europeans got to vote). We're told he's STILL seen as the second coming in those countries.
A lot of the white guilt that produced Obama voters here was because the mainstream media convinced people we needed to elect Obama so the world would like us again.
Plus you have idiots like Sarkozy, who privately say Obama is a doofus, but publicly fawn over him.
Last time Obama was in Germany, he spoke at a major university . 26 people showed up : ) The American MSM is not worth looking at anymore. I read the UK papers, to find out what is REALLY going on.
“... I find myself in unfamiliar territory being on Russias side on something....”
I hear ya.
But last time I checked, it wasn’t Putin who told his homies to read our emails, record our phone calls, monitor our internet use, force us to have Obamacare, queer up the military, let moslem sand fleas into the country, conspire with other members of his Party to deprive me of my gun rights, let an Ambassador and some of our SEALs get murdered in an embassy, etc., etc.
Last time I checked, Putin wasn’t doing any of those things, and wasn’t doing us any harm.
Sock Puppet, on the other hand...
Obama probably wouldn’t even consider the probably retaliation from Russia if this happens.
