I live 12 miles from the nearest small town. What good does mass transit do me?

Not surprising, because a large part of the population doesn’t HAVE a true ‘mass transit’ system where they live, or if they have one, it doesn’t go where they need to go.

I have been on a bus. It was scary.

I’d rather walk or beg for a ride.

“74% prefer being stuck in traffic and paying $5 per gallon.”

Yes, yes I do.

Mass Transit - what a money trap in Massachusetts.

Let me tell you ‘bout a man named Charley........

Bernie Goetz did what he did for a darn good reason. Note that he was convicted of illegal possession of a firearm, NOT for shooting the black thugs that were attacking him.

And Epic Beard Man was, indeed, epic.

City slicker. I could walk from one end of my town to the other longwise in under 8 minutes.

That's when I'm driving real slow across town. :)

I can’t imagine why people don’t want to join the unfortunates who have no alternative but to sit on vomit-soiled seats amongst vagrants, the insane, and the hopeless DUI cases. You might as well go to the local teaching hospital and do petri dish jello shots.

Well isn’t that a silly poll? Not all areas are created equal. God I hate pollsters. I wonder if they have any education sometimes.

Mass transit brings ghetto to the suburbs

It used to also bring maids, sitters and nannies but now it brings mostly beggars and ne'er-do-wells.

I’m sure that the atheists and anti-Christians will come out against mass transit since it exposes them to a religious service. And we can’t have “Mass” anything if we can’t have crosses....now to introduce traffic circles and get rid of those intersections that look like crosses.

The only time I ever use mass transit it when I visit Europe. If had to live in a city as large as London or Paris, I would use it on a daily basis...what would be the alternative, after all? Thankfully, I live in a town with only 0.1% of the population of such metropolises, and am happy to get around in either my Honda Civic hybrid or Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, depending on the weather.

I’m surprised that ONLY 74% rarely or never use mass transit.

Since I am at least 120 miles from any sort of mass transit it would be hard for me to use it.
