I find it interesting that so many people think hip, knee, kidney, liver, and heart “replacements and/or transplants” should be covered by any health insurance policy, but even more specifically via Medicare or Medicaid.

I’m old now, too.
But I’m not stupid.

Somebody has to pay for that level of extreme interventionist medical care.
I know I didn’t pay for it, and I know none of those over 65 now, paid enough taxes and premiums to claim it.

Heavy sigh...

Our children are all now doomed by their supposedly wiser elders.

Sorry you had to assume the worst possible intent on my part. I hope you’re not disappointed to realize that I wasn’t really being mean but saying (trying to, anyway) that when things don’t always go the way you’d like them to, try to make the best of a bad situation.

The health insurance problem in this country could be fixed tomorrow, just like the Social Security problem. The Government doesn’t WANT to fix these problems.

As evidenced by the fact that our years after the enactment of Obamacare, the Republicans have yet to articulate a comprehensive health care fix of our own other than the "Hanity talking points." Although I am strongly in favor of defunding Obamacare, the argument is favor of defunding would carry a lot more weight among the stupid if it was coupled with an alternative plan. As I repeatedly tell my kids and employees, I don't want to hear your complaints unless you also have a solution.
