"I'm tired of corporate greed," said Nancy Holmstrand, 68, a retired public school teacher from Chicago who joined in the protest. "They're able to make laws based on their financial power that benefit the top 0.2 percent."

“Attendees at the American Legislative Exchange Council were countered Thursday by a roughly equal number of protesters upset by the close ties between big businesses and lawmakers.”

Let’s see - Obama and his ties with GE’s CEO, no protests; Obama and his ties with Amazon and its founder Jeff Bezos, now owner of the Washington Post, no protests; Obama and his ties with CEO/Corporate recipients of “Green energy” subsidies, in mostly failed projects, no protests; Obama and his ties with “Wall Street” firms and executives, bigger than his opponents in both the 2008 and 2012 campaigns, no protests; etc., etc., etc.

The Marxists/Progressives/Liberals and their useful idiots in the chattering masses are NOT really against corporate ties with politicians, simply corporate ties with politicians who are not on their team - end of story and height of hypocrisy.

Repeal the 17th Amendment, ratify a balanced budget amendment, and pass term limits for the House and Senate. Anything less won’t be enough.
