This is a PC way of saying "the crime and vandalism rate would skyrocket."
Many a mall has been ruined when bus routes were added, bringing “teens” and “youths” to hang out at the mall, shoplifting and committing other crimes, harassing shoppers, etc. There are malls that used to be beautiful, prosperous places, but now they look like bombs hit them, because they were ruined and everyone had to abandon them.
The people in the town in this story are very smart and I applaud them, but nowadays I don’t see how they can prevail. The government, media, etc. are hell-bent on destroying everything nice about this country.
According to the liberals and race hustlers, you can only be a racist if you are a member of a superior race.
Mull that over.
That’s it in a nutshell. Beavercreek understands this equation:
Mass Transit + Connections to inner city = More Crime
Obviously rasiss.
Anything said about people of an officially recognized liberal grievance group is considered racist or bigoted.
We live in a politically correct world now.
The only way opinions can be expressed about out of control teenagers is if those teenagers are all white boys and girls.
Reminds me a bit, a few years ago, there was some protest that the rap singer, Eminem, was up for some music industry award. Some people were protesting about rap music at that time. Eminem is a rare white rap singer. Nobody protests about black rap singers, because to do so would be racist. Yet protesters felt okay to protest Eminem, because his being white took race out of the equation.
As you might guess, I’m happy to hear that too. Could be better, could be Gilbert.
That’s why we need High Speed Rail. So transit systems can take these yutes, shoot them clear past Beavercreek and drop them someplace in Northern Kentucky.
"...And every town's got two malls! They've got the white mall, and the mall white people used to go to..."In reality, these malls where the white people used to shop experienced 'thug' behavior", crimes, fights, vadalism, overt shoplifting, robberies, car theft, and yes..murder. The result, mall closed and the liberals complained how the 'man' keeps them down, creates 'food deserts', keeps job opportunities away.
During the past twenty years I have experienced area malls where the white people used to go. Scandalous thug behavior was a sad reality in these areas. So many times, thugs arrived in the area by buses. The subject malls closed/demolished.
On Columbus Ohio they had the City Center Mall in the dowmtown. Right next to the buses. Gangs started showing up and there was a shooting on the escalators. People stayed away, tenants left and they’ll was torn down.
Holders people at play!
That was the beginning of the downfall of Century Plaza east of Birmingham. Opened in 1975 and closed in 2009.
Your transportation out of the area may not be a major concern. For shoplifting, your getaway is essentially complete once you’ve exited the store or the mall. For assaults or other mayhem, it could be.
“Within a year, the mall (and most businesses within 5 blocks either direction) was all but a ghost town. “
Sounds just like Randall Mall, in the Cleveland area. Totally abandoned.
Dayton
Crime rate: 608
I wonder if they factored in Sons of Obama as the root cause of why many of these malls failed?
I doubt it.
If the residents of that area have no need to use buses why would they allow bus routes to be put in?
I live outside of a small city and see the buses on routes driving around empty. No one or very few use them. But someone is paying for the cost.......
Beavercreek was ordered by the FHWA to restart the application process with the RTA.
HUH? The Federal Highway Admin? What authority do they have over citizens wanting buses running through their neighborhoods?
From the data, it would appear that Dayton is a “static $hithole” when it comes to violent crime! The numbers fluctuate from year to year but are all still within the MOE. Nothing to suggest it’s getting any better there. Don’t blame Beavercreek at all!
