LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Afternoon traffic delays can be expected Tuesday when President Barack Obama makes a brief visit to Los Angeles to appear on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”.
The president is scheduled to arrive at Los Angeles International Airport at 3:25 p.m. and will be in Burbank for the show’s 4:30 p.m. taping, according to the White House.
Motorists should expect a number of street closures and congestion to accommodate the president’s motorcade, although President Obama will likely be taken to Burbank by helicopter from LAX.
Although routes or security operations surrounding presidential visits are never officially provided, the Los Angeles Police Department has provided a list of areas that motorists should try to avoid during the visit.
According to the LAPD, drivers should avoid the following areas between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.:
• Hollywood Way and San Fernando Road
• Hollywood Way and Burbank Boulevard
• Hollywood Way and Alameda
• West Olive Avenue and Buena Vista
• Sherman Way and Hayvenhurst Avenue
• Victory Boulevard and Canoga Avenue
• Canoga Avenue and Burbank Boulevard
Since the president will be spending the night in the Southland prior to flying to Camp Pendleton in San Diego County, police have also advised motorists to avoid the following areas between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday:
• Sherman Way and Hayvenhurst Avenue
• Victory Boulevard and Canoga Avenue
• Canoga Avenue and Burbank Boulevard
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tapes on the NBC Burbank lot in Studio 11, located just off of the 134 freeway. The pedestrian entrance is on Bob Hope Drive or East side of our facilities. Street parking in the area is limited but can be found on surrounding side streets such as Bob Hope and Riverside Drive. A paid parking option is located on California Street underneath the Clear Channel building.

If traveling West on the 134 Freeway
Take the Buena Vista Exit.
Make a left at the traffic light. (This puts you on Riverside Dr.)
Turn right on Bob Hope Drive.
If traveling East on the 134 Freeway
Take the Buena Vista/Bob Hope Dr. exit.
At the Stop Sign make a left underneath the freeway.
You are now on Bob Hope Drive.

Obama wants to get a bump in his poll numbers so he is going to paralyze much of West LA and the San Fernando Valley to go on a TV show. Not a care about how it affects anyone else. What a horse’s posterior!

Great. One of the intersections on the list is the way I drive home between 2:30 and 6:30. Just one more reason to be annoyed at Obama.

If I had a job in that area I would schedule a day off for that day. I have seen what a presidential motorcade in Los Angeles does. Your car does not move for hours.

I hope that he stays the hell out of Florida, particularly the area where I live. I don’t want to be anywhere near the bastard. It is bad enough just being around his worshipers.

President Obama made an appearance at the Tonight Show the other day, seated in Valerie Jarrett’s lap, and the two gave their entertaining impression of a ventriloquist and her dummy.
The “president” began to speak:
“So what do you think of all those phony scandals being pushed by the Republicans ... “
“The IRS, the EPA, Benghazi, the Justice Department ... “
And they were interrupted by an audience member who had risen to say,
“My church group was audited by the IRS. We didn’t consider any part of that ordeal to be unreal. It was expensive, physically and mentally exhausting, a real nightmare.”
Another person rose and said,
“My daughter works for the State department. I take very seriously the unwillingness of the executive branch to safeguard its ... “
He was interrupted by a woman who said,
“My family was involved in a hit-and-run with one of your “undocumented immigrants”. Our car was totaled and my teenage son will walk with a limp for the rest of his life!”
And Jarrett then held up her free hand, interrupted and said, “Whoa, whoa whoa—hold on folks. This is just a show! I certainly didn’t mean to cause hard feelings for you or ill will or ... “
Then the entire studio audience got on their feet and said,
“Shut it, reptoid. We’re talking to that little son-of-a-bitch in your lap.”
