Hmmm... could this have something to do with certain types of foreigners being peripheral-vision challenged? Ever seen some of our Eastern friends in the Bay Area try to use the on ramp to a freeway? Just sayin’.
We call it “DWA” around Silicon Valley. This past weekend, a DWA-F pulled into the bike lane ahead of me and proceeded to drive in it for a hundred yards at 10 mph. Being extremely wary, I dropped back a bit. Good thing I did because she cut a U-turn right in front of me without looking at all. A very common occurrence here in Silicon Valley. No peripheral vision and, even worse, no head-turns.
