The above article is talking about how a government shutdown would defund all kinds of stuff that voters like, but still leave Obama-care funding in place.

That would make it even more easy for Obama to attach blame to GOP, then the GOP caves anyway left hated by everyone.

Or do you believe the MSM will all line up and blame Obama so he caves and signs a bill defunding his legacy item?

A few hours after I replied to this it dawned on me that budget bills, spending and taxes only, only require only the Senate majority votes not the 60 as long as they include no regulations. So to block the CR without his amendment he needs to round up 51 Senators, same # as to pass the CR with his amendment.(and Biden can vote on Dems side)

So he would need to round up every-single GOP Senator including McCain and Graham and a few Dem Senators to kill the CR (path to eventual shutdown) . But I bet Cruz is not even counting votes. I bet he has zero expectations that his amendment becomes law.

More-so is Reid even going to put that amendment up for a vote?
