Great local news interview of George Zimmerman attorney Don West after the trial. He talks about the interaction between him and Judge Nelson and how he felt when the verdict was read. He admits he has a temper and also said he knew the jury was under a lot of pressure. The trial took a physical and emotional toll on him. I will post the link to part 2 of this interview also.

He regrets that some of the local officials did not stand up and say support the verict and move on from the racial aspects which have been investigated thoroughly. He talks about Rachel Jeantel also. He said almost all of the whole event was on a timeline of phone calls, which helped a lot and proved GZ did not tract TM but rather, TM came back and attacked GZ.

Notice that only 28 seconds passed between the time Martin’s phone hung up with Rachel [7:15:43] and Witness 11’s 911 call was picked up [7:16:11].

I was VERY impressed with the interviewer. She did a GREAT job. I would love to know her political persuasion. I could assume that she is a Democrat maybe even a liberal as she is a journalist and a member of a certain race that voted 93%-96% for Obama.

I detected no evidence of a bias. If I had to guess, I would guess she is leaning right, but that is mainly due to the absence of left bias.

This was NOT an interview about the Zimmerman trial. It was about “the man” Don West. I think she mixed in the GZ/TM questions masterfully.

This woman gives me some hope for Black/White race reconciliation in this country. Not much, but some.

WOW! I spent a little time with Google and Jackie Brockington was raised by none other than Ella Baker! If Jackie’s politics are influenced by her immersion in Ella Baker’s politics, then I have even MORE Kudos for Jackie.
