148-84=64 years
So his parents were 64 years old when he was born, presuming that they were only slaves as infants.
And he was “profiled” at a hotel in the countries most liberal city, at the age of 82! What was he profiled for, not paying his bill?
Some racists grow out of it, others just get old.

That one really leaped out at me, too - what was he doing to make anyone profile him - reminds me a bit of Henry Gates ranting and raving when the cops wanted to know if that was his house he was trying to break into.
