Since 1965, our immigration policies have engendered one of the greatest mass migrations of people in the shortest period of time in human history. The U.S. adds one international migrant (net) every 44 seconds. Immigrants account for one in 8 U.S. residents, the highest level in almost 90 years. In 1970 it was one in 21. In less than a decade, it will be one in 7, the highest it has been in our history.

The nation’s immigrant population (legal and illegal) reached a record-setting 40 million in 2010. If the foreign-born population were a nation, it would be the 33rd largest in the world, just behind Argentina and ahead of Poland. The U.S. immigrant population has quadrupled since 1970, when it stood at 9.7 million. Of the 40 million immigrants in the country in 2010, 13.9 million arrived in 2000 or later making it the highest decade of immigration in American history, even though there was a net loss of jobs during the same period. Our pro-population growth immigration policies have fueled more than three-quarters of our population increase from 203 million in 1970 to 316 million today. The U.S. population will increase another estimated 105 million by 2060 to 420 million.

He has no interest in the American economy.

When you ponder the question, what does he have interest in? Golf.

He seems to have little interest in foreign affairs, except for insulting allies and apologizing.

He seems to have little interest in domestic affairs. Unemployment. Businesses going broke. Black youth unemployment at all-time high.

His main claim is Obamacare, and that is unraveling. He used to be a strong union supporter, but that seems to have waned.

There’s a current thread up here discussing a report that Benghazi leads back to Iran, NOT alkida, and also one purporting that the CIA moved missiles out of Libya to Syria.

Good morning, Pat.

So running arms to Syrian rebels, what was wrong with that?

There is nothing wrong with it per se, but we are supposed to be a nation of laws. The President and the Executive Branch do run our foreign policy, but there are limits under our Constitution. Congress does have a say in the matter and should be consulted (publicly or privately) before we send arms to anyone.

And of course, wouldn’t those 30 CIA operatives be expected to keep their identities secret, maybe change their identity?

Yes, many can and do keep their identities secret including changing names. That said, in many countries, the CIA Chief of Station discloses his identity to the host government.

The problematic part of all of this is whether these changes are being made to hide the facts from Congress on what they were doing in Benghazi and what happened the night of the attack. Congress should be allowed to interview them without necessarily requiring them to disclose their personal identity. As far as secrets are concerned, key members of the intelligence committees could do the interviewing, without staffers if that is a problem.

We have a system of checks and balances. The branches of government are supposed to be co-equal. Over the years, the Executive Branch has accreted far too much power. And in the case of Obama, he has gone far beyond what a President should be allowed to do. IMO he has committed impeachable offenses. Congress has been derelict in limiting the Executive Branch. Fast and Furious, the IRS scandal, NSA overreach, a backdoor amnesty, etc. are abominations. The WH is covering up and stonewalling any attempts to get at the truth. I consider Benghazi to be part of the same trend. And we have a MSM that is complicit in the cover-up.

Secure border first, legal permit, no special pathway. If they want citizenship, they go the back of the line after legal immigrants.

Translation: Ryan supports amnesty. He is using the same language McCain used for his amnesty bill in 2007.

Any legislation that allows the lawbreakers to stay and work here, the object of their crime, is amnesty. Citizenship is just the cherry on top. And the back of the line is in their home country, not here.

Ryan is no better than Rubio.

If we were not so dependent on ME oil we would not have to be involved with their religious politics. Why do you think the environmentalists are so well funded by the Saudis?

Where that argument is faulty is in their going to the back of the line -- if they want citizenship.

Many of them do not want citizenship. They just want a job, and income, possibly FED benefits, so they can live and probably send some money back home.

The citizenship canard is about as flakey as the secure the border canard.

So, why are so many politicians pushing amnesty? Well, Rubio supposedly got $3 million from big business donors right after the Senate amnesty bill passed.

Benghazi gets tougher to follow the more we learn.
Here is part of a post I made over at Hot Air earlier. There is so much going on with that story its difficult to say with any precision what did actually happen. All you can do is recite much of what you read and then put down what seems to make sense.
.............................

“The big question besides where was zero and what was he doing with whom when all this went down is who actually hired Ansar al Sharia to do the dirty work and why.
Initially, it was thought that Ansar al Sharia was hired by Morsi(remember the story of don’t shoot us Dr.Morsi sent us) under the direction of zero (who bribed Morsi with 8 billion of our bucks and now owns lock, stock, etc.) to trade the blind sheik for Stevens.
It all went wrong and supposedly Stevens died from smoke inhalation.

There’s a wide variety of stories about how he died from hot shots to a sodomized body to who knows. And no no one will know since his body, as that of Breitbart/Hastings, were all burnt up and turned into ashes that don’t tell us any stories. A pattern begins to emerge.
One of the questions is if Stevens was given a lethal injection in several places of his body that an autopsy couldn’t pickup who did it and why. It’s not terror type style but sure could be covert op style,if you get my drift. And recently we learned that there were 35 CIA types at Benghazi during the raid sooooo…..
Recently, its been suggested that Iran,Russia and Syria were behind Benghazi to stem the shipping of arms that was going on there.
If I had the money I would hire a true journalist to get to the bottom of what really happened.”

Thanks. Another factoid from a Bureau of the Census press release.

International migration is projected to surpass natural increase (births minus deaths) as the principal driver of U.S. population growth by the middle of this century, according to three new series of population projections released today by the U.S. Census Bureau. This scenario would mark the first time that natural increase was not the leading cause of population increase since at least 1850, when the census began collecting information about residents' country of birth. The shift in what drives U.S. population growth is projected to occur between 2027 and 2038, depending on the future level of international migration.

Lots of talk about that Rock. Latest is that Russia,Turkey, Iran and Syria were all in on Benghazi. If Benghazi was an arms depot for the 20k or whatever it was manpads/shoulder fired missles that Qaddafi had and our CIA was shipping them to Syria to the terror types to use against Syria's Assad, Russia,Syria and Iran would all be pissed.

Immigrants will work for less money and have fewer options. All the new jobs are going to immigrants and the vast majority of those jobs are low skilled ones. If the McRubio-Schumer amnesty bill passes, we will bring in 33 million legal immigrants over the next ten years, which is more than we brought in over the previous 40 years. With 22 million Americans underemployed or unemployed, why are we doing this?

It’s best to know the chain of custody of the Benghazi phone call information and just exactly what they are doing. The Situation room receiving a frantic call from a guard who seen the attackers breaching the compound with machine guns and the claim of doing something ‘immediately’ diverge. Why is there any delay in the response? And who is responsible for that delay?

We’ve got a bunch of idiot media who can’t figure out to ask, the phone call comes in at 3:42, and yet Panetta has no idea what he is supposed to do until 5:30? Who sat on that info and did nothing for that long?

If we were funneling arms to the terror types from Benghazi who opposed Assad in Syria, including some al queda types as well, and we were shipping them shoulder fired rockets,we'd have to be incredibly stupid to think that they won't be used against us some day.

I don't see any way that all this inevitable expansion of gov.t funding for welfare benefits alone can be paid for.
