In 1991, Anwar al-Awlaki returned to the U.S. state of Colorado to attend college. He earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University (1994), where he was president of the Muslim Student Association.

Hmmmm.... and down the road in Greeley, home of Northern Colorado U, Sayyid Qtub studied and later became a leading Muslim Brotherhood theorist, mentor to al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri. Qtub was radicalized when he saw men and women dancing together, which deeply upset him.
