That is quite accurate, and why having an armed citizenry is such an incredibly good idea.
I’ve noted before that cities in Arizona even have more polite insane people, because one of the last faculties to go in the mind is self preservation, and knowing that they could likely get shot if they act too wacky makes them work hard to keep it on a leash in public.
It’s somewhat harder to say about rural areas in Arizona. But in that they now have a little lead time, I doubt you will find many pacifists in those eastern AZ Mormon settlements. They’re not so public about things, and in past have been alleged to make evil livers disappear down abandoned mine shafts. But that’s just rumor.
