If people including Samantha Geimer can look past the wrongs of Roman Polanski, why can't we also ignore the crazy bantering of Orson Scott Card? For gay rights activists, the crime Orson Scott Card committed isn't really a legal offense, but the wound is very fresh.

1) Orson Scott Card is "crazy",
2) Orson Scott Card has "committed crimes".
3) Roman Polanski has "wrongs" in his past.

There is no reason to discuss policy differences with these people.

Orson Scott Card’s interview in 1990 was:
* Completely in line with majority views 23 years ago.
* In alignment with his faith, and about the only reasonable thing to say to a Mormon publication
* Stated before a fair number of the gay Nazis screaming at him were born or old enough to read any of his books.
