The preceding question should be this: Why, if we had so many counter-intelligence operatives on the scene, did we not know for certain that special forces were needed to preserve the lives at our consulate?

Unless these CIA operatives were on some unholy special mission--and we can speculate on what that might be, but let's hold off for the moment--it is inconceivable that so many could have been in the dark about what was coming--even after the thugs started gathering!

That sir is an excellent question! Almost as if it was set up to fail, but then, this administration and State Dept have no clue on how to conduct clandestine operations.
