I used to Rollerblade in the lot across from where Rush started in Sacramento, by the weird UFO theaters.

Peeking over the fence, I saw Rush a couple times, when he was big just locally.

I feel a very long and strong connection to Rush, incredibly strong.

I know about the Bake Sale, and Rush to Excellent tours, and all that.

I started listening in 1990. The guy working next to me had Rush on and I couldn't stand him! He was arrogant and wrong on most issues! My coworker asked me why I thought he was wrong...I couldn't give any reason other than my liberal knee-jerk answers, grounded in emotion and not fact. The Gulf War was in the news, but long story short I wanted the US to lose, but they didn't, they kicked ass! I decided I was tired of hating America...turns out we were the good-guys. P J O’Rourke also was a major influence for me...ex-lib turned conservative.

That is Kitty O”Niel. Her husbamd is a chef at Mace’s restaurant I tihink. Rush attended their wedding.

Only negative is that Kitty pulled the do you know who I am at the Sac Airport. A friend of mine is related to the officer.

Congratulations to Rush on his anniversary. I started listening during the riots in LA. It had been a few days of non stop riot coverage and then Rush came on that Monday. At first I was mad as I wanted more riot coverage (hubby worked right in the war zone) and loved him immediately! ! So glad I found him

I will never forget the first time I heard Rush. It was Day 2 of the air campaign in the Gulf War. I lived very near work, and had come home for lunch. On the way I was searching the radio for news, and Rush was talking about the media complaining that we were being “mean to the enemy”. Having cut my teeth on Buckley and Buchanan, it was weird to hear the views presented in such a fashion. Been hooked ever since. He’s still the best. Nothing against Levin or any others, but Rush is #1 for a reason. I don’t always agree with him, but he has done more to advance our side of the debate than anyone, maybe ever, certainly over the last 20 years. Love the “former liberal” stories.
