Damn yutes
I wouldn’t say morality has always been ‘subjective’. If this is the case, morality loses all meaning beyond human delusion, and right and wrong merely become matters of taste rather than truth.
Morality is objective, but is an unclear objective to the man in search of conviction. He cannot measure it with any instrument, yet it must be as binding as the law of gravity.
The ultra-Orthodox Jews take the revealed word of God in the Tanakh to be inviolable, just as it was in ancient Israel. Nothing has changed, because God has not given them a new covenant in their view, (though I believe differently).
I am “ultra-orthodox “ and I can tell you what these violent idiots do has nothing to do with ultra orthodoxy .
Thank you for that insight. It’s good to get views on this from source. Can you think of any widespread interpretation of the Tanakh that these men could be going by?
No.
Oh come on. Lutherans do this all the time.
