Hacker Forces Colin Powell To Deny Affair
The Smoking Gun ^ | August 1, 2013

AUGUST 1--As a notorious hacker seeks to distribute “very personal” e-mails sent to Colin Powell by a female Romanian diplomat, the retired general is denying that he engaged in an extramarital affair with the woman while he served as Secretary of State, though he recently advised her to delete all their online exchanges, The Smoking Gun has learned.

In a statement addressing his relationship with Corina Cretu, a member of the European Parliament who previously held a series of senior posts in the Romanian government, Powell, 76, wrote that he has known Cretu for about 10 years, having first met her “when I was the Secretary of State and she was an assistant to the President of Romania. We occasionally attended the same diplomatic and international meetings.”

Powell, who served in President George W. Bush’s cabinet for four years, said that he kept in touch with Cretu, 45, by e-mail after leaving the State Department in January 2005. “Over time the emails became of a very personal nature, but did not result in an affair. Those type of emails ended a few years ago. There was no affair then and there is not one now,” Powell added.

I can understand the mutual attraction as they have so much in common. Powell having such a European outlook on politics and all.

Hacking should no longer be illegal. The NSA keeps tabs on emails and phone calls and they no longer bother with legal boundaries. Why can’t private citizens do the same? And if Colin has nothing to hide, he shouldn’t mind, right? Something along these lines may explain McCain’s recent and increased level of buddy-upmanship with Great Leader.

It sure seems like a lot of guys who pursue political power have something in common: they can’t keep their hands out of our wallets, and they can’t keep their junk in their own pants.

Powell is a poster boy as to why military men can sometimes make reasonably decent diplomats and administrators (MacArthur, Eisenhower &c.) but diplomats seldom make decent military leaders.

Before everyone jumps on me and says Colin Powell was a military leader first, may I ask one question: Did he ever actually lead anything major in the military other than convincing Bush I not to finish the first Gulf War?

The point is that he may have been trained to be a military leader, but his natural tendency is to be a diplomat and one of questionable ability at that.

F'rinstance, I wonder what he might have done differently than Hillary over 9-11-12. Maybe a more diplomatic response than blurting out "At this point, what difference does it make?!" at congressional hearings?

Bwaaaaahaaaahaaaaaa. Good luck with that one, Colin. Try telling that to the wife after reading those emails about being the love of the Romanian gal's life. NBC may buy it, or more likely, bury it, but not the wife.

Couldn't happen to a nicer racist, affirmative action, politician. Maybe this is how the Obama endorsement came about????????? NSA, anyone?
