Maybe this is a prelude to his going over to the rat party?

RE :”Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) conceded on Monday that Republicans will not win one new Hispanic voter over by passing a comprehensive immigration reform bill. “Let's say we enact it, comprehensive immigration reform, I don't think it gains a single Hispanic voter,” McCain said in an interview with PBS’s Gwen Ifill. “But what it does, it puts us on a playing field where we can compete for the Hispanic voter.”
McCain has made comments indicating comprehensive immigration reform will not win over Hispanics, but he has also suggested that comprehensive immigration reform is a type of “gateway issue” that Republicans need to pass for Hispanics to consider voting for Republicans. “

Keep in mind that Mccain never said the above before Rubio and he got the Senate/Schumer amnesty bill passed, he waited till after. He and Grahamnesty always phrased it in a way that sounding like the GOP would get votes from passing it which we knew to be false.

So now that he is being a bit more honest he and Grahamnsety should tell us exactly what the GOPs positions must be to get Hispanics to vote GOP.
But they wont.

You see that Obama selected a special envoy of McCain and Grahamnsety to go to Egypt and pitch democracy?/

That’s good, John..

It’s good to see that you’re on TOP of things!

Okay, now we need you to sit here and eat your jello and watch Jeopardy with the rest of the inmates... that’s a good boy...

This is about big money from the corporate donors and nothing more.

Exactly right. The GOP's corporate paymasters want more guest workers and the GOP Establishment is eager to please them even if it means committing political suicide and destroying this country. This has nothing to do with getting Hispanic votes or leveling the playing field.

Just how stupid are these people?

Yeah, let's do this so we can get the Hispanic vote, even though it won't get us the Hispanic vote....

Seriously, if a Freeper could clue me in how they think, I'd appreciate it. I mean, Conservative values win every time they are tried, with honesty. So, either is the open border crowd saying that Hispanics are fundamentally unable to embrace Conservatism, or what?

Hispanics are the classic Dem constituents. They favor big government. They have out of wedlock birthrates of over 50% and the highest school dropout rates of any group. Hispanic immigrants and immigrants in general use welfare programs to a much higher degree than the native born. Hispanics are considered a minority as classified by the USG thus making them eligible for affirmative action and minority business set asides.

The bottom line is that Hispanics are solidly Dems. The idea that the Reps can get anywhere near a majority of their vote is a pipe dream. They vote their interests, which are more aligned to the Dems.

So if the enlightened McCain understands what is necessary to compete for the Hisapanic vote, why did he do so poorly with them in 2008?

One of three reasons why McCain has been acting extra-McCain lately. Either

A: NSA info and extortion.
B: True colors shining through as time's winged chariot closes in on McCain's tenure.
C: Age-inflicted mental meltdown.

AHHHH grasshopper, ......

McCain would say that he didnt get the Hispanic vote because cavemen like us forced him to act like a conservative. And because we didnt allow him to pick Gramnesty as a running mate.

He says when the GOP is allowed to move to the left they will win moderates in record landslides/.

Keep in mind McCain has yet to tell us exactly how (what positions) the GOP can win Hispanic votes. What positions they must take, although I assume that he thinks they like his own.

That is the problem with his BS.

So, at last the Senator has granted us at least some little insight as to his thinking, if one can call it that.

While finally admitting the obvious, that this acceptance of the populist invasion of the United States by a lawless horde, even to the point of aiding them in becoming citizens who become good Democrats, is based on the fear of losing "Hispanics" wholesale, just as the GOP lost 95 percent and more of the descendants of slavery (who were nearly all, at one time, Republicans).

Too high a price to pay in what is probably a vain effort to aid an established political party at the expense of our national interests.

He really has deep contempt for the Conservative base, believing Conservatives must choose between the Republicans and our nation.

Exactly: WTF does that mean Juan?

Other Republican politicians listen to this fool?

Of course Graham does but he is a sick little sissy boy anyway, the rest of the need to wake up.

Actually McCain, you need to talk to those Hispanics who entered the country legally. If Republicans pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform, you will lose those Hispanic voters for good. Why did they make the sacrifices to enter the country legally ? You will be stabbing them in the back.

There’s nothing they can do to get the Hispanic vote, because all these two want to do is pander to them. Being frank and honest with them about why you support the family friendly policies you do, would never occur to these two.

That could be applied to any demographic. It still doesn't mean that they (Hispanics)are incapable of holding Conservative ideas, it just means that due to their environment they are predisposed. If Conservatives can't change that predisposition, then we might as well give up, and the liberals have already won.

Republicans, for the most part, won't even make an effort to change them.

No different in stupidity, than Hillary, and the “video”. Worse, in some ways, as an entire country is at stake. These are Republican quislings.... traitors, who took money to allow our country to be destroyed. .

It has nothing to do with the ability to hold conservative ideas, but rather, those ideas of a smaller and limited government, low taxes, etc. don't resonate with them any more than they do with most blacks. Until you change the environment, you will get the same results.

I don't understand your use of the word "predisposition." You make it sound like a biological problem.

Republicans, for the most part, won't even make an effort to change them.

For starters, we need to reduce significantly the number of legal immigrants we bring in annually, i.e., 1.2 million a year.
