In a 13-0 vote, the Council passed the resolution by Councilmember Bernard Parks, which urged the U.S. Department of Justice and the Attorney General to conduct an investigation into possible civil rights violations in Martin’s death.

No need. I think Martin has already paid a rather dear price for violating Zimmerman's civil rights.

I’ve been advocating an anal proble of the LA City Council since the 70’s when the communists really controlled things.

Today, third rate liberals are in control, and nobody cares anymore. Even the tens of thousands of gang members in LA don’t care. Why should they? They get free food, money, housing, and soon, amnesty and voting rights. SOme might even vote, for the Democrats, if they can read a ballot or have someone draw a line to a name for them.

California politicians (with some honorable exceptions) are like pus-filled carbuncles on the backside of humanity. They are just leftist pains in the ass, infect the body politique, make a mess on the skin, and serve no real purpose to society. I guess that why the low education voters vote the way they do. It’s a reflection of themselves only they get paid by the taxpayers, and not in Govt. surplus cheese.

Did anyone check with the Chicanos of Los Angeles to see how they feel about continuing to George Zimmerman?

The L. A. City council...

You might just as well be talking about the old Russian Politburo or the Chinese Central Committee.

These folks are so wigged out, they’d have to take a space shuttle to even get back on the chart near the left end of the spectrum.

What a joke. The FBI already did that. Maybe the LA city council should petition the NSA to release the recording of the phone call between Rachel Jeantel and Trayvon Martin. You’d see a lot of liberal heads explode over that.

I see, so LA has ALL it’s problems solved and they can now use their spare time helping the feds. Got it.

So the LA City Council members maintain that a non-black cannot legally and morally defend himself against a potentially lethal assault by a black.

Mr. Holder, we are having your national conversation on race, and the vile racists seem to all be on your side.

Not to worry, the Democrat Plantation of LA wil soon be joining the Democrat Plantation of Detroit in the bankruptcy line.

The LA city council has proven themselves to be a bowl of self important turds enamored of their own stink, and to pass the time of day they issue meaningless, mewling motions in the hopes that others will notice the malodorous stench.

The headline makes it sound like that means something.

I don’t remember the Constitution saying that cities vote to determine what the federal government probes.

When historians look back to see when America officially became brain dead before ultimately dying, the “Justice for Trayvon!” movement may be that point.

Greece used to have some interesting battles way back when, the city states chose their battles carefully, eventually they fell, LA and others should take note and stick to their local affairs first and foremost.
