Fascism’s economic structure was called “Third Position”. Unlike capitalism (market control of the economy with production in private hands) and Marxist-Leninism/Communism (government control of the economy and ownership of production) Third Position is a command economy (gvt in control) where production remains in private (preferably large conglomerate) hands.
People saw Third Position as much preferable to Marxist-Leninism/Soviet Communism ... Which is a reason why Fascism was deemed acceptable and groups like the Nazis were able to appropriate the term Socialism to help generate appeal.
