Fixer charges $15k for N. Korea trip, interview with Kim Jong Un

Kim Jong Un interview would be first between N. Korean leader and international press since 1994

SEOUL – An exclusive interview with Kim Jong Un was offered to journalists covering Korean War anniversary events in North Korea as part of a 17-day trip organized by the same Korean-American fixer to facilitate Dennis Rodman’s Pyongyang visit.

The press trip, which surrounds efforts to cover the remains of a U.S. Navy pilot who died during the 1950-53 Korean War and is being covered by AP, CNN and VOA, was organized by Dr. Chayon ‘Susan’ Kim –– a New Jersey-based Korean-American with a history of working in North Korea.

“Diaspora for Damul Incorporated (“DFD”) is planning an historic trip to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (“DPRK”) with the purpose of reclaiming the remain of American soldier [sic] who were declared missing in action at the Battle of Chosin(Jangjin)Reservoir, November 27th to December 13th, 1950,” a press invitation distributed in early July reads.

LOL. She is doing this to just make money. However, Norks did make many international organizations hooked on this potential interview thing, with some hints dropped here and there.

All important media outfits allegedly got invitation from NK regime. Major new organization found out all their competitors got the invitation, too. A few days before 7/27 event, the media outfits are given a questionnaire to fill out the questions they want to ask. They begin to hope that this wholesale invitation means only one thing : they could get that first interview by Kim Jong-eun, a typical press conference, where media correspondents pack themselves at a conference room and ask questions to Kim.

Words attributed to media sources inside U.S. MSM were reported in S. Korean media. The wording of reports suggests that NK did not spell out anything, but MSM tried hard to read between the lines and believed that this could be the interview thing. Imagine Wolf Blitzer’s of the world were entertaining an idea of one-on-one interview with Kim Jong-eun: a historic interview which will immortalize the interviewer.

To their disappointment, they got to only report on the parade again: a little more access to parade preparation process. During the event, Kim did wander into the direction of press corps, flashed his smile, and allowed media to surround him at close range, but left without an interview. I pretty much expected a same thing. He won't talk except a few words like "Welcome to N. Korea. He didn’t even go that far.

All frantic preparation and behind-the-scene jockeying to be the first of the pack are for a naught.
