In a sane world, "legalizing" these illegals would be favorable because it would be understood that all would have to register including biometrics with no government assistance whatsoever, no firearm ownership, no moving without re-registering, no government jobs. I am sure that the NSA could help out here. After a grace period of say 6 months to a year, any illegal not registered would be deported immediately upon discovery and arrest (do not pass go, do not collect $200) period.
But this is not a sane world. Legalization would be followed by amnesty, game-set-match. And no republican in their right mind would revoke the legal status of any of these new legalized, ever. Who the he11 is fooling who?
