That being said, her inability or unwillingness (you must pick one) to endure and overcome a bunch of hack journalists and vicious state bureaucrats from the backwater that is Alaska by at least finishing her term as governor does not bode well...
You make it seem like no big deal. What would be involved in...to use your words..."endure and overcome?"

It was a big deal, and her decision to quit was impressive political jujitsu.
Palin quit because she was encountering an Alaskan political system post-Presidential election which was nothing but “get Palin”.
That political system was not one which the government paid for. Palin herself, had to absorb costs.
If you’ve been here since 2011 you should probably know this.
It probably wouldn’t be a bad idea for her to stay home and keep an eye on the rest of her kids, at least until they 18.
Everybody I know voted for Ted Cruz and it had nothing to do with Sarah Palin.
We thought he would do what he is doing...not be part of the establishment. Dewhurst had establishment written all over him.
That got Cruz elected.
I pray Sarah is not sidelined into the Senate.

In the recent re-districted election, I supported and helped elect Steve Stockman to congress.
In the most recent election to the senate and congress, my state and district has given you Cruz and Stockman. (Cornyn has been a disappointment...I resigned as his county chair.)

In brief: AK’s natural resources are OWNED by the people. And something like 90% of AK’s general operating budget is to be derived from the development of those natural resources. According. to. the. AK. constitution.
Palin’s tax program - ACES=Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share - accomplished two main objectives:
1. Fulfill the state constitution to get the best return for the citizens of Alaska
and
2. Ensure the free market allowed all comers to develop the natural resources - and not just the Big Three through cronyism.
Or know anything about how the Big Three oil companies were in bed with legislators and every governor before AND AFTER Palin to get those taxes lowered to SHUT OUT smaller development companies, do you?
As per your “socialistic wealth redistribution system,” I assume you’re referring to the Alaska Permanent Fund? Palin didn’t create that. She maintained it as a means of fulfilling the State Constitution, which AGAIN states that Alaska citizens OWN their natural resources and so get reimbursed for its development.
There is NOTHING remotely like that in the national constitution, nor should there be.
Palin has NEVER stated as such.
