Since the majority are Muslim, I don't see them being a "playa" soon. Muslims care for Allah, worshiping him and otherwise ignoring the environment, natural resources, pollution/population problems. I only say this because I am MOST familiar with living in a Muslim country. Their priorities, simply put, are different than ours.
I know Java is Muslim - and I know Bali is not. The Hindu just hate the muzzies!
In any case, China, India, US, Indonesia... yes they will be a playa in 15 years. So will Turkey.
