Several reasons.
1. Obama had Soros and his money machine behind him.
2. Obama had a well organized campaign
3. The MSM absolutely refused to investigate Obama’s past
and/or covered up anything bad
4. John Edwards split with Hillary the anti-Obama vote
Members of the MSM knew about Edwards affair and I belive
the child as well during the primaries but sat on all of
so he would stay in the race.
5. Obama fights dirty even dirtier than the Clintons.

The heart of the matter is number 3. Why were the MSM in Obama’s corner when just a decade earlier they had slavishly supported BJ? Their refusal to investigate Obama’s past was just part of their support for him.
