So-called “progressive” so-called “thinking” is based on bitterly regressive emotion. Self-styled “progressives” believe they’re the new aristocracy that’s based on superior wisdom rather than tradition. In simple terms, they’re the same old parasites with a 150-year-old batch of fake justifications for wanting to rule us common people.

If the GOP wasn’t the other Stupid And Evil Party, they would use this same meme and give due credit for where they get it. When a Republican gets lambasted for some remark by the left, they could say “We have to give him a chance because the left is in power and he is one of the few supporting the right’s programs and agenda” (if only that were really true). “That’s what Ms Busby says, it’s fine if it’s to support the agenda”.

Then, I would use the political weapons that my progressivism creates to slowly drain power and financial and intellectual resources from those who currently own and control them, like a predatory parasitic wasp larvae sucks the life force from its fat host victim.
I would take my time and slowly take them down, while taking all they value, without ever firing a shot, until that last moment when they themselves help me to ultimately and finally defeat them.

But, when a city councilman started making waves, and forced the city to change it’s pension policy, and saving the city from bankrupty (along with outing several councilmen who were not playing by the rules), the city’s elites didn’t want him .. they preferred the current bozo.
It’s disgusting .. I do not have one govt person in office who represents my viewpoint.
It’s okay to harass women, extract bribes from business (FBI investigating), take a trip to Paris on taxpayer expense, order a city lawyer out of a city meeting, and other Filnerisms as long as the Dems got their power player in place.
