Washington DC, particularly under Obama, is ground zero for racial politics. It’s been a local fact of life in DC for decades, but now Obama and Holder have taken it to the national leveling have seemingly given it their stamp of approval.

I'm based out of DC and I worked in DC during the first Reagan administration. I wouldn't have gone walking around DC at 1:26 AM, even back then.

(Most conservatives/libertarians wouldn't. They generally have too much common sense. True, it's a free country (or was) you have every right to walk around any time of day you choose. But DC has a murder rate that's higher than any state. And nobody but a criminal is walking around at 1:26 AM with a gun in DC.)

Well you don't know that for a fact. You only know what the WP reports. You can't even rely on FBI stats as the local police are known to skew the numbers.
