I note you using the phrase, ‘progressive leftist’. Is there such a thing as a leftist who isn’t ‘progressive’? It seems to me that the phrase you use is redundant, like the phrase ‘Department of Health Department’ or a ‘dishonest Demmocrat’, or an ‘Obama lie’.
Your point is well taken. The only reason I do that is because progressive-leftist-liberal-fascist-communists are so slick about shifting labels to dodge responsibility for the horror they enable/advocate. So I try to use several redundant descriptions for the benefit of those "middle-of-the road" observers of the argument, to help them link all these synonyms into one cohesive image of who the bad guys really are.
I got into the habit of doing that because I used to date a liberal college professor, who along with her friends would often slither around amongst these various terms as a way to confuse the conversation.
