Worries Mount as Syria Lures West’s Muslims

By ERIC SCHMITT

WASHINGTON — A rising number of radicalized young Muslims with Western passports are traveling to Syria to fight with the rebels against the government of Bashar al-Assad, raising fears among American and European intelligence officials of a new terrorist threat when the fighters return home.

That’s right. Who says they’ll be returning to the West?

These and all the Muslim mercenaries, from that one early in the war from California on, sure are covered differently by the media than the American mercenaries that fought Communism in places like Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.

Why is this a problem?

Assad's bloody thugs will kill them on the battlefield.

Maybe they will kill Assad's thugs, then again, hopefully, they'll kill each other and many problems solved.

Perhaps the President would prefer sending US radicals to bolster Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt? After all, he is pressing the Egyptian Junta to reinstate his buddy, Morsi.
What is amazing is how this President is losing the Middle East. Egypt, a bizarre US ally since 1978 is doing what it can to throw off radical Islam yet the US Administration wants to punish them because they're not so Democratic...awwwwww, shucks!

Obama will drive the Egyptians back to their previous owners, the Soviets and THAT will be a brilliant Chess move by Putin over the young, rookie President Obama.

Trouble is, he's no longer a rookie, now he is a fool.

Right. Why do they have to return to a hell-hole in the West(as they see it,) while they could go straight to Heaven right there in Syria by the courtesy of Bashar’s troops. A rumor has it that there are many ways to do it. For example, they could end up inhaling certain military grade gas. Way too strong for Slick Willie to experiment with, though.:-)

This is not of any Putin's design. It is just a suicide by Obama. Putin could not even play it, unless luck goes his way. His luck is on a roll thanks to Obama.

Oh dear, Obama is losing voters. He’ll need to bring in a few more illegals to make up for the jihadis.

OTOH, we can hope a lot of them will meet their end in Syria and never leave.

Or live in a limbo at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport on their attempted return. Until Allah call them up.

Putin is the classic Soviet-era, KGB agent who views the world into the main spheres of influence:

1) Nations under Soviet rule
2) Nations not YET under Soviet rule

(SARC)
Putin has had to wear a back brace in the last two years because TASS News Agency reported that he threw his back out during a severe laughing fit after hearing that Obama had won re-election.

He has had laughing fits continuously ever since and is reportedly in a great deal of pain. Some ministers reported Putin even laughing upon seeing Obama’s picture and him promptly taking pain killers.

It is pathetic...and dangerous.

Or maybe Obama doesn’t care who wins, he just wants to destablize the middle east. I don’t know which is better or more dangerous: An Obama who is clever but with a misguided agenda, or a blithering idiot who is played for a fool by every foreign power. He’s one or the other, however.

Naive idiot with destructive agenda. Oh he's clever alright, clever enough to stay in power and continue to speed up America's decline. What gets me is that a destabilized Middle East means more expensive gas and yet the electorate still adore His Majesty.
Once again, the old Israeli claim that they are the ONLY reliable, stable and Democratic state in the region is proven correct but that does not stop the administration from trying to destabilize the Israelis as well.
we are at the point where our enemies snicker and our allies go to the bars...

Why let them return at all?

If they like fighting so well leave them there till they get it out of their system by losing that fight.

"more expensive gas and yet the electorate still adore His Majesty."

As you are probably aware, Obama has already said that rising gas prices is a good thing. Was he criticized at all by the left? No, they also think it's a good thing, as long as Obama says it is.

I cannot ever remember a US President so immune from real criticisms and attack.

I remember the press calling Reagan the “Teflon President” but Obama is Teflon plus PAM spray President.

It does not matter what he says and does or how badly he screws up...it's all OK and on we go, into the future.

It is beyond belief. Meanwhile the world is in flames and Nero-Obama fiddles away.
