I have a thought, and it goes like this.
The sexting (in the view of most New Yorkers) is a tempest in a teapot. Most New Yorkers (Clarification: As pertains to NYC’s denizens — as opposed to Upstaters) are not Mid-Westerners or Southerners in their moral outlook — anything but!
Therefore, this “scandal” can safely “explode” in the media without Weiner’s being seriously hurt in his race for the Big Apple’s Mayor’s Office.
In other words, this is — I fear — a “head fake” to distract people from the REAL issue (Namely: His wife’s Muslim Brotherhood ties).
Just a thought.
It’s a sign of our times that a person such as this would have the cajones (no pun intended) to run for public office.

Schooled. But it won’t matter to him. He has plainly stated his view, and what keeps him going. The constituency that she represents is a minority in New York these days, in great part due to ideas Wiener represents and promotes. The constituency Wiener is going for is not overly bothered by these revelations, as long as Wiener is able to deliver to them the wealth that her constituency worked so hard for. He, and his family, are reprehensible and inexcusable.
