...Operation Vulture which was to rescue the French at Dien Bien Phu by way of bombing the Viet Minh and with a possible option to use nukes. Eisenhower dropped the plan when he couldn’t get the Brits who had ousted Churchill as PM. If he had still been PM he might have agreed to the coalition and the history of VN and SEA might have been very different. If that had happened, the turmoil of the 60’s would never have happened...
