When on today's Morning Joe, Obama spokesman Jay Carney had the chutzpah to call the IRS mess a "phony scandal,"Joe Scarborough ripped into him, calling Carney out for using "talking points," instructing him to "answer the question" and informing Carney that "I'm not somebody you talk down to from your podium." Ouch! H/t NB reader cobokat.
Scarborough reminded Carney that he hadn't told the truth when he initially claimed that the scandal was limited to low-level employees in the IRS Cincinnati office, that it now appears that it may go at least as high as the IRS Chief Counsel, appointed by President Obama, is involved. Carney continued to slough off the scandal, claiming it was a diversion and that the President wants to focus on the economy, blah, blah, blah.

It’s the Clintonian strategy. When you have a friendly press, you count on them accepting the talking points. Every scandal is phony. Usually the media nods its head.
I think Obama is in a little trouble here. It’s very unusual for this type of thing to happen.
He’s an honor graduate of the Slick Willie School of Progressive Journalism.
His face is very down-cast and he appears to be frowning most of the time. He is obviously under a lot of emotional stress.
I am very concerned...
...concerned I might miss it when he finally has a complete melt-down at the podium.

It is all a phony scandal. There is no evidence that it happened anywhere other than in one small cubicle in Cincinnati. And if you report otherwise Obama will roast your stomach and eat it.
Not that I worry about what this metrosexual thinks, but this guy is all over the map. He’s a Lib most of the time, but then, out of nowhere, he takes a conservative (rational) position.
