LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) Police were searching downtown Long Beach after the side window of a police patrol car was shattered, according to reports Tuesday.
KNX 1070′s Ron Kilgore reports the squad car was reportedly damaged around 10:30 a.m. at Ocean Boulevard and Chestnut Place.
An officer was driving westbound on Ocean near the criminal courts building when she noticed her driver side window break, Police Sgt. Aaron Eaton said.
She did not hear anything or see anything, Eaton said.
The officer pulled around the corner upon noticing the broken window. She was not injured.
A section of westbound Ocean Boulevard was closed between Magnolia and Chestnut avenues while police conducted an investigation. Police sniper officers were also seen positioned above the scene.
Anyone with information on the incident was asked to contact the Long Beach Police Department at (562) 570-7260.
Right in the middle of the day in a busy business district. How nobody saw any more is a mystery.
Won for Trayvon
Little trayvon with a wrist rocket and skittles?
Wrist rocket would do it.
Popcorn time
George Zimmerman’s fault.
I have a cousin who is a Long Beach cop. I notice the article did not mention the name of the officer. I hope it was not her.
Bush’s fault.
I bet if odumbo had a son the sniper(s) would look just like him!
Real observant cops in Long Beach.
A BB or pellet gun from one of the apartment building balconies could do it as well. There’s also a bail bonds in that block, facing the court house.
Somehow, they don't "notice" that they individually and their chosen profession are increasingly viewed with disdain by law-abiding citizens.
Too many laws, too many cops, too many shenanigans with deadly weapons.
Don't even need that...
Did anyone check to see if the police snipers had fired any shots?
(Really poorly written headline and article.)
Interesting! Thanks for that link.
I used to live on ocean. Not that far from there.
Any drones missing?
I had the rear window in my brand new Dodge pickup do that once. I was sitting in a traffic line for road work with nothing moving around me and it just shattered. No snipers were called in though.
