ObamaCare is at the center of a rapidly escalating fight that threatens to shut the government down this fall.

Republicans have tried this maneuver in Obama’s first term, only to back off later to the chagrin of Tea Party leaders.

This time, GOP lawmakers are emboldened by problems plaguing the administration’s ObamaCare implementation.

Thank you. Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words do not hurt me.

Deconstruct the argument that the Republicans have not caved to the Democrats when it mattered. Post facts as to where and when they stood up to the Democrats on issues and sent them running off with their tail between their legs. Cite chapter and verse. Name calling won' get you anywhere with me.

Just for your edification here is one example: Bill Clinton was President. Congress passed a bill forbidding partial birth abortion. Clinton vetoed it. The Senate overrode his veto and sent it to the House. It came down to one vote as to whether Clinton's veto would be sustained or overrode. A Republican cast the deciding vote to sustain it. That was one of many.

The last thing we need to do is to stop Obamacare from happening. This is stupid.

Let the people have what they voted for. Rub their noses in it.

For every action there is a reaction. How will the Democrats hurt the military as a result of not getting their way? How much danger/damage will they create just to blame the Republicans? (It works. That’s why they do it.)

To both questions: All they can. The only ones they won’t is their parasites. But if obamacare gets funded again, its all over but the crying.

If the GOP defunds, doesn’t it become a GOP problem?

Yup. And, according to the Rats in the MSM, it's already the GOP's fault it's a trainwreck.

Wow. Your post is super ultra defeatist. Probably the most defeatist I've seen yet (and I've seen a bunch).

It is not defeatist. It is realistic.

Do you remember the "government shut down" in the 1990s? The entire media went into blame Republicans mode. After a couple of days, the Republicans caved.

Now give me an example of when the Republicans have threatened to cut spending and not caved? Obama's sequester does not count. The only "cut" was a very slight decrease in the planned increase in spending. When slightly decreasing the planned rate of increase of spending counts as a cut, we are doomed.

Obamacare was never intended to work. It was designed to be the worst healthcare system imaginable so that the sheeple will beg for socialized medicine.

Prayer, positive thinking AND doing everything YOU can to turn the thinking of politicians who can make a difference is what we should be concentrating on, instead of saying this one or that one will cave, etc. Stop with the negativity and work toward a win in every way you can. Keep hitting the politicians with phone calls, emails, Tea Party presence and pressure. This mosaic we call socialism/communism/marxism is and will continue to crack IF we continue to do everything we can to apply pressure where it counts. Praise the Lord, and pass that ammunition of hard work and never let up the attack and the pressure...be like the left who never let go until they win, like a dog with a bone. Let us be the BIG DOGS in the fight and WIN it.

Strawman fallacy.

I don't hold the position that Republicans havn't caved. I've been all over spineless Boehner on that very point.

But I also don't hold following position...

Look, I think we all know that the odds are long. But there really is no choice but to try to change things. To see post after post that pretty much says that it will never happen to me is defeatist.

Some of the reasons are set out in the dissenting opinion in National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius. Unfortunately, the Constitution says whatever 5 out of 9 Supreme Court Justices say it says so, at least for the time being, the majority opinion controls.

Round two will be whether the forced funding of abortion violates the free exercise of religion.
