I think you'll agree that a good percentage of kids, especially teens, have a strong urge to not end up like the adults they see every day. Back in the 50's and 60's there were a lot more adults that behaved well. Many of those "rebels without a clue" grabbed onto the sex, drugs and rock and roll that was the opposite of the adults. Flash forward to now; we have a good number of teens that rebel by being decent people, and conservative to boot. Sometimes rebellion is a good thing.

My comment was about the contention (not originating with you) that “Men give love to get sex.” If you are trying to get something, then by definition, love is not involved. From a woman’s standpoint, if she’s “paying” with sex, then what she receives in return isn’t love, but a counterfeit.
That statement, in my opinion, debases the inclusion of sex in a genuine relationship of love, describing instead a commercial transaction.
