U.S. Magistrate Judge Arthur Boylan reportedly wrote in his decision concerning Ventura’s defamation suit, “(if) a party dies and the claim is not extinguished, the court may order substitution of the proper party.”

Sounds like a Clintoon stooge.

Arthur J. Boylan is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. He was appointed to this position on November 1, 1996.[1]

I wonder if there is a defense fund set up where people can send her donations?

If Jesse was ever right in the head, he lost it when Hulk Hogan said he was a pu**y, or words to that effect. Picking on a fellow SEAL’s young widow sucks bigtime, Jesse, you really need to take a look at yourself.

District Judges are appointed by the President. Magistrate Judges are elected by all of the District Judges in the District, so Boylan is not a Clinton appointee.

Why does it say he was appointed then?

Confused?

I have a few thoughts here...

First, I don’t think Chris Kyle would have to make things up in order to sell books, so I’m inclined to believe the story. I read the book twice, I know there can be a bit of embellishment at times, but still...

Secondly, I’ve been on jury duty for a defamation case. There are two issues. You have to prove that 1) someone said something - whether true or false and 2) that you were damaged as a result.

If I say “You’re fat and ugly” - that may not be nice, but unless you’re damaged financially, it’s not defamation. So how is “The Body” damaged by any of this? Sure, when I read it, if Jesse said what Kyle says, I thought “man, what a douche” but then what?

Nothing.

IIRC, when Beck had his Mercury fundraiser for Kyle’s family, he made sure it was done knowing the Vulture Ventura would likely be doing this.

A Ventura attorney had argued Taya Kyle should be substituted as a defendant because Chris Kyle's estate will continue to profit from book sales and a recent movie deal, and Ventura has a right to protect his reputation.

Could someone please remind me what that reputation was? As near as I can recall, Ventura already destroyed it years ago.

Taya Kyle's attorney had argued Ventura would be better off dropping the case, saying that going forward would give the perception that Ventura had little regard for loved ones of deceased war heroes

I vote for the defendant your honor...

Very sad to hear how Kyle died. Damn!

I don't care how screwed up I was, it just wouldn't be in my nature to take others out just because I was unhappy.
