Anybody receiving death threats, under threat of civil rights lawsuits by the DOJ, and in hiding with little or no means to hire countermeasures is the opposite of free.
He’s got an actual bounty on him. There are people willing to pay his killer a reward.
He’s not free by a damn sight.

With the threat of a federal and civil prosecution hanging over his head, along with very real death threats abounding. . .he may be out of jail, and rightfully so, but he is hardly free in his person.
