With all due respect to those here who disagree, my only interest in the Republican Party these days would be brought by people planning to form a third party with the goal of (first) DESTROYING the Republican Party even if it means the Demoviks win again (which they will in any case).

The whole “take over the Republican Party” or “take back the Republican Party” thing ain’t gonna happen. The blue state big money and the likes of Boner and McChurian hold all the cards.

Otherwise, you are doomed to “looking forward” to the big Jeb Bush v. Hillary Rodham Rodham Rodham 2016 showdown—aka Puke City.

I couldn't agree with you more!!! I wonder how many other voters feel the way you and I do. Can't some pollster run that one out? IMHO the GOP will be darn lucky if they hold the House and I really doubt they can at their current level of under performance.

Regarding people being fed up with their local Republican representatives.

The Madison Project has a list that rates their Republican reps. based on the “safety” of electoral results.

In my case Rep. John Culberson - a member of the powerful appropriation commitee

Like most members of the Texas delegation, Culberson evinces the image of a solid conservative, but his 2011 record, at least on fiscal issues, showed otherwise. As one of the 12 “Cardinal” members of the Appropriations Committee, Culberson voted against numerous opportunities to cut spending. He voted against the promised $100 billion in cuts in 2011, cutting spending levels to pre-Pelosi era, and eliminating farm and green energy subsidies. While he did vote for some spending cut amendments, he also voted for the Big 3 sins of 2011; the debt ceiling, omnibus, and minibus.

These votes were enough to earn him a -23 index for such a conservative district. It should be noted that he has amassed a pretty strong voting record so far in 2012. If he keeps it up, he may even improve to the hall of fame in 2012.

NO, I will NOT vote for this BIG G’MENT slave master

The thing is, I don’t give a damn whether they hold the House or lose it. What have they done since they won it? That’s right. Nothing.
