Today there was an article on the website titled “TheRoot.com” that tried to use the statistics in a silly way to imply that whites are in denial about having comparable murder rates. He completely ignores the fact that blacks are only 13% of the population. He says it’s a myth created by the media (i.e., that blacks kill one another at higher rates then whites kill one another). He notes that despite conservative’s efforts to falsely portray black Americans as having a problem with murder rates, the “truth” is that blacks kill blacks 94% of the time whereas whites kill whites 84% of the time.

With respect to aggravated assault, whites led blacks 2-1 in arrests; in forcible-rape cases, whites led all racial and ethnic groups by more than 2-1. And in larceny theft, whites led blacks, again, more than 2-1”

Serious abuse of statistics. And it shows many blacks are not serious about cleaning up their own thug culture.
