“It’s Over Obama” or “It’s Over, Obama”?

Last week the market got spooked because Bernanke, perhaps in reply to Obama’s bonehead handling of the termination of the employment of the Fed head, said that the central bank was revising its monetary benchmarks from a target rate of 6.5 percent unemployment to 7 percent unemployment.

This is all BS. The Fed's current monetary policy has zero to do with the economy or unemployment. It has everything to do with keeping interest rates artificially low in the face of a government who spends in excess of $1 trillion more than it has on hand each year. But instead of openly taxing the people to cover the shortfall, they steal it from us instead via the devaluation of the currency. So think of this the next time you spend $50 to fill a gas tank that only cost $25 to fill 4½ years ago. You now know where the other $25 is going.
