specifically designed to provide entertainment and moral support for the military.
The doors have been open since Oct 7 2001,
the day of the start of the war in Afghanistan.
We are indebted to you for your sacrifices for our Freedom.
I am a budget shopper, but my favorite thing to make for dinner is reservations.
You Are a Healthy Shopper |
You prefer to cook at home - that way you know exactly what is going into every meal you cook. You stay away from prepared and overly processed foods. And you go organic and natural whenever possible. Eating healthy is not a chore for you. You know how to make the healthiest meals taste great! |
You Are a Quick Shopper |
You don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen... or in the grocery store! You buy a lot of convenience foods, and you've got making quick meals at home down to a science. You know what's cheap, healthy, and easy. You don't need a lot of fuss to eat well. |
I don't go to the grocery store to "shop". I go there to "buy".
You Are a Quick Shopper
You’re a speedy shopper and a speedy cook. You value efficiency above all else.

My Grocery Shopping Style? Send Hubby! LOL! [Really! :)] |
Well, I generally start by putting two “p’s” in the word shopping ...
You Are a Budget Shopper |
You cook from scratch to save money, and you never let a good sale or coupon pass you buy. Eating at home is already cheaper than going out to eat, but for you, the savings keep coming. You don't sacrifice taste or quality. With a little ingenuity, you're pocketing a ton more money while eating great food. |
Perhaps you are familiar with the saying, Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people. Admittedly, there are ways to speak of people that can honor them. But this saying highlights our darker experiences. In a world of ever-present mediasocial and professionalwe are continually confronted with peoples lives at a level of intimacy that can be inappropriate.
Worse, this tidal wave of personal information about others could become grist for our conversational mills to the point that gossip becomes the normand not just about the rich and famous. People in our workplaces, churches, neighborhoods, and families can also be targets of sharp tongues and feel the pain of discussions that never should have happened.
How can we escape our inclination to use words to hurt others? By recognizing that the ultimate Hearer of our words is God, who longs for us to be better than that. With the psalmist, we can pray, Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord (Ps. 19:14). When we seek to please God with our conversations about others, we honor Him. With His help, we can glorify Him through what we talk about.
Read: Psalm 19
I’m a You Are a Gourmet Shopper ... hmmmm
Mrs. foxfield and I hit the produce department for bananas and avocados and other things we cannot grow ourselves, cooking isle for certain spices, unsalted peanuts, and sugar (for making wine), and the dairy aisle for cheeses and butter. That’s it. We grow and raise everything else.
I don’t shope.
Quick shopper.
I also have gotten more and more to where I use the cart as a walker. If I put my weight on the cart, my back doesn’t hurt.
I have a prayer request. The man I have been “dating” for about 5 years was told in March that he has ms. This is a guy who has always been active. He played football at Auburn. I talked to him in May and had not heard from him since, until I got an email fom him today. He is really struggling with this and is real depressed. He is a retired psychologist so he knows about depression. I don’t know what I should do. I have invited him to come here but he has not made a decision. He does not need to be alone and dwell on this. The only time I have dwelt with depression was the weeks after my daughter and husband died but that only lasted a few weeks. Thanks.
