Preaching forgiveness? Or begging forgiveness for those in their flock, who have repeatedly violated the Ten Commandments? You cannot tell God who to forgive; you can only ask.

What these churches should definitely be preaching is for people to take moral responsibility & accountability for their own conduct. I am not suggesting that that message is only applicable to the congregants in Black churches. White clerics who also preach irresponsible hate against our institutions are equally cotemptible, to be sure--and equally culpable for making excuses for those who abdicate personal responsibility for their own conduct.
