Don't underestimate the fear of so called conservatives who think they need to pander to be liked.

And, ironically, they seem not to realize that they could harvest more Hispanic votes by voting against amnesty than voting for it.

There have been three polls now (that I'm aware of) which report that the LEGAL Hispanic community is against any form of amnesty by a two-to-one margin (roughly 60-30).

Were Republicans to take a stand against amnesty in the interest of protecting the employment opportunities and respecting the earned citizenship for LEGAL Hispanics, they would win more votes than pandering to the illegals would ever award them.

That’s a FACT, but they wouldn’t make any money that way.
