The other side is entirely bought. A third or more of the GOP Senate (and 100% of the dems) have been bought. The GOP House members are the ones who are now being targeted, some have sold out, most are holding on (so far). Ongoing pressure to hold them from selling out is our best hope.

The other side is entirely bought. A third or more of the GOP Senate (and 100% of the dems) have been bought.

Most would say that such a claim is hyperbolic -- buying that many politicians would be prohibitively expensive.

However, one "special interest group" is both a.) vitally interested in this legislation and b.) has more than enough spare cash to stuff every bank account in Congress. Yet, somehow, they are never mentioned in this context.

I refer to the drug cartels. They are as interested in "securing the border" as anybody -- if not moreso. And they've got not only the bucks to spread around, but the knowledge and systems to effectively launder every penny.

If we aren't already suspicious of their involvement, we should be.
