Much of this is just smoke and mirrors. Cancer will only be eradicated when money is used to examine the cancer field, not just the cancer. Cancer is a metabolic disease and the whole cancer field must be treated. The powers that be may really never want a cure as the true cure will become the prevention model. The industry would then cease to exist.

This subject has become the center of many family fights in my family. My step sister married a cancer research doctor and my father (her step father) has gotten into it many times about the cancer research being an industry and because of it, there is a lackluster push for a cure. I don't know myself, I can see both sides, I mean different cancers are treated different ways and so on but there are times I do wonder. I feel like I'm Diogenes carrying a lantern looking for an honest man and answer here. BTW, I have a dog in this fight too, my mother has inflammatory breast cancer.
