You don't send people to prison on the basis of what other people imagine, or on the basis of media sound bites like "shooting an unarmed child," when that "child" was beating him bloody.
The jury indicated, early on as their deliberations began, that they wanted to compare hard evidence, when they asked for a complete list of the testimony on both sides.
Once the issue boiled down to hard, provable facts, the prosecutors' loud histrionic assertions and sweeping innuendoes were just not going to cut it.
Nor was repeatedly calling Zimmerman a liar effective, especially when the prosecution misquoted what Zimmerman said, as an examination of the record would show.
The only real heroes in this trial were the jurors. They showed that this is still America -- at least for now -- despite politicians who try to cheapen or corrupt the law, as if this were some banana republic. Some are already calling for a federal indictment of George Zimmerman, after he has been acquitted.
Will this still be America then?

George is a hero to his community. He accepted the role of watching out for his neighbors. I would want that in my community too.
The State of Florida Prosecutor’s office also COVERED UP that Travon Martin had kiddie porn on his cell phone, as well as pics of him menacingly holding a handgun. But, their IT guy testified to the truth, and was then FIRED for that!!
Amen to that.

Heroes? Maybe, but in another thread, it looks like at least one Juror is going to write a book, and one that Freepers probably wouldn’t agree with.
Why wasn’t this evidence presented a trial? Was it destroyed? Is it only based on the IT’s testimony?
They did their job and came to the only logical conclusion.
It is sad that a hero today is someone who just does their job. In a nation of people mooching off makers, I suppose one could argue that is what passes for a hero today in our country.

Keep in mind that the jury is/are the representatives of the poeple within the judicial branch.
This was a very new innovation started by the English, that the people should have the final say in the matter.
And in this little insight is one of the real reason for the elite’s and aristocrat’s frustration at times. For a sequestered jury, six people or twelve people speaking as one voice (the unanimous vote), makes their decisions based solely on the evidence and on the law, and can rise above and defy the political wishes of those in power.

You will have to ask the attorneys about that. In any case, the State of Florida (that fat female “special prosecutor”) DID NOT turn over the exculpatory evidence they were REQUIRED to turn over in the discovery process! TOTAL absense of due process. Nothing less than malicious prosecution!
The commissars are angry. The appartchiks selected the proper comrades as the prosecutors and judge but failed to arrange the selection of a jury. Party leaders are deeply embarassed. There will be corrections made in the future and the reeducation of the people who failed to obtain people’s justice. Mistakes are not tolerable.
Give the court a statement like "We cannot send an innocent man to jail, but out of fear of our own safety for failing to do so, our only option is to refuse to return a verdict."
They refused to be tools of the racial grievance industry and that took a lot of courage.

I believe none of Martin’s cell phone records were introduced as evidence. Which is why this can never go into civil court. Aside from immunity, the parents wouldn’t want all their son’s dirty laundry aired.
Not true. They could have just not charged Zimmerman like the Police Department already decided after it's investigation. In fact, those who have the flair for the imagination might actually assert that the prosecutions case presentation was so shoddy that it was intentionally so, so that it would fail because some of them couldn't actually bring them selves to actually convict Zimmerman, consciously or not.
Importantly, George’s honesty and integrity really impressed the Sanford police, who looked at the evidence and concluded that he was right. This matters so very much.
When the FBI showed up, it interviewed those police, and talked “cop to cop”, they convinced the FBI agents that Zimmerman was honest. And when your career, in either case, is all about honesty and justice, when you get your mind set that somebody is honorable, it is extremely hard to convince you otherwise.
Neither police or FBI agents are easy to bully into persecuting someone when they don’t want to. Very frustrating for Holder, no doubt.
BTW:Zimmerman, his family and his reps better watch what they say in the next few months because Holder and his minions are going to go over every statement they make in order to build a phony civil rights case against him.
Jury duty is vital.
There are no small trials they are ALL important because we now clearly see prosecutors are out of control.
They no longer prosecute they PERSECUTE.
