Family Dollar tends to pick store locations that cause you to wonder whey there aren’t shootings in more than half of them.

I've noticed that as well.

It might actually be their business plan - to locate in areas where there is a need for more stores but low competition
(for obvious reasons).

It does make one wonder...

Family Dollar does provide some desperately needed jobs in really bad Pittsburgh neighborhoods. But I feel for the people working there, who are quite likely to encounter a gun in the face.

It’s a poor people’s store, both patronized by and employing folks who are just getting by (interspersed with a few bargain hunters who go there to buy cheap party supplies,,etc,). So it’s located in marginal areas, but most of its customers are just fine, simply poor. It’s horrible that thuggish creeps would target the equally poor but hardworking employees of this store.
