Office of the Press Secretary
For Immediate Release - July 14, 2013
The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy. Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America. I know this case has elicited strong passions. And in the wake of the verdict, I know those passions may be running even higher. But we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken. I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son. And as we do, we should ask ourselves if were doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities. We should ask ourselves if were doing all we can to stem the tide of gun violence that claims too many lives across this country on a daily basis. We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this. As citizens, thats a job for all of us. Thats the way to honor Trayvon Martin.
Hey CLOWN. One way to stem gun violence is to NOT slam someone’s head into a sidewalk...that’ll help guarantee that you won’t get shot by them.
Watch the other hand.
What a farce!
Compassion for a thug and gangsta, but no compassion for the person who really cared for his fellow man by trying to protect them....George Zimmerman.
“A” jury, not “The” jury. Civil will drain all $ from all Zimmerman dirty Jews and white hispanic family.
Take away guns.
Not, “come together as a nation”. No, we don’t want blacks and whites to get along, no, he as 0bama president doesn’t want to call himself a mixed race individual and heal the country.
This verdict was what he wanted.
I notice obama forgot to commend George Zimmerman for being a law abiding citizen who followed gun and all other laws, was a longtime Neighborhood Watch volunteer like thousands of other Americans.
Remember... if you see something, say something..right?
This guy is beyond belief! Why would I even remotely CONSIDER ‘honoring’ a punk who got what he deserved? Even his own DADDY was telling him, ‘You’re on the wrong path, Son; time to change course!’
Funny how 0bama’s ‘white half’ didn’t side with that white woman who was nearly beaten to death by a black thug a few weeks back!
How I loathe that POS. Completely and totally. Wish I could feel SORRY for him for being such an inept leader, a MANUFACTURED Manchurian Candidate, but I simply no longer care. I’m just hunkerin’ down, ridin’ the storm out.
American Arafat.
Why wasn’t this call for peace issued last night before it became obvious that there would be no rioting?
FUBO
“I know this case has elicited strong passions.”
****
Which you helped inflame.
They will wait next time to assure that the shooter is a white Euro instead of a white Hispanic. I don’t think I could despise this racist pos who’s presently occupying ‘the people’s house’ any more than I do.
Should be easy...don't attack a guy who is "packing". Dumb. Does this mean that "O" is going to invite Zimmerman to the White Hut for a beer?
“O” at first heard the name “Zimmerman”, and, of course, that was a “fat cracka” name. . but, he went off half cocked and gave an initial “speech” - then he discovered that Zimmerman was Hispanic. After that, he had to sort of shut up or risk alienating the Hispanic community that the Democrats are counting on to deliver them the golden goose, so which do you alienate - the blacks, or the Hispanics? ROCK, meet HARD PLACE, cause that’s where “O” is caught. -
Mr. President, you ask “We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this.”
Mr. President, you should make sure that the sons who look like the son you imagined are brought up decent and not gangsta.
“what the eff was gun violence?”
It was the lawful use of defending ones self from a black racist thug bent on killing or maiming the “cracker” who interrupted his peaceful night of thievery.
>Thats the way to HONOR Trayvon Martin.<
.
Say what?
I will instead honor my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ; for providing strength and courage to the women serving on the jury. I will admit I didn't think they had the guts to do the right thing, but the Lord came through on their behalf.
SInce ZImmerman did not commit a crime, did he get his gun back?
The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy. Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America.
Sorry but can not allow you to get away with this. Please EXPLAIN how this was a tragedy for America? Thousands of American die every single day. Many are killed in some manner. This death while certainly a tragedy for those involved is a basic run of the mill death. A dumb arrogant kid who was a wannabe thug lifer pushed his luck in attacking an armed man and it cost him his life. In no way is this a tragedy for America except in that the race pimps and the MSM and the President tried to use to to score political points, make money and drive an agenda.
