Commiserate? Send GZ $$$? Beef up our own security? Be more aware of our surroundings when out and about? Pray for an appeal? Thank God that we have Free Republic? Send FR $$$? All of the above?

I’m thinking the jury requested the itemized evidence list looking for the items MOM entered into evidence but was not presented to them. During MOM’s closing he urged them to listen to the 6th phone call that George made to report the kids by the street. He asked them to think about why the pros submitted all but that one call. Also, MOM urged them to read “the pile” of police reports that have not been presented that describe the rash of burglaries that happened in the last year and all that were arrested were young black males.
LOL! Too close to reality to really be funny, but I’m in an optimistic mood today....for “some” reason.
Right now on FOX local they are discussing at length the discovery violations in this case. .the IT guy that was fired because he called out the state on withholding evidence favorable to Zimmerman.
Outrageous.

What a load of garbage! You yourself are not reading, only writing. There is no "history of this young man...that led to the final outcome." This child had every right to go about his business without being harassed by some cop wannabe. Your wife's personal anecdote is completely irrelevant and insulting to educators everywhere.
This commenter ignores the facts, of course, that Zimmerman turned down an opportunity to patrol the neighborhood in a uniform, with a radio and a car with flashing lights as part of a police initiative - hardly sounds like a "wannabe cop". He also told Chris Serino that ha HAD wanted to be a police officer, but was now more interested in legal studies and possibly becoming an attorney.
If you were a child of 17, legally walking in your own neighborhood that your father paid taxes in, and you were followed by an armed civilian who was told by the police to not leave his car and engage, would you be so willing to blame yourself for the conflict and your own death?
Of course we now know that Trayvon and his father weren't actually supposed to be in that neighborhood - they weren't on the lease for Brandy Greene's condo, and weren't supposed to be living there. We also know that Martin wasn't simply "walking in his neighborhood", he was standing in the yard of a recently burglarized home, at night, in the rain.
There's a reason why this nut job couldn't get into the police department!

When they showed all those pictures off Trayvon’s phone in court outside of the jury I said wait a minute I have seen all those on FR many months ago. We obviously have an insider here on FR. :-)

Seems like at a minimum he could get back costs related to that.
When the deputy turned the lights on in the courtroom this morning they found the cutouts that had been leaning against the wall were now on the floor — the Martin cutout on top of Zimmerman dragging it toward the concrete slab. :)
